In Fear and Faith – Your World On FIre

Have You ever thought of what Craig Owens and his Chiodos crew would sound like if they put on some metal jackets and went bezerk with hardcore ? Well here it is – In Fear and Faith.

Their debut “Your World on Fire” is just out and features (wonder wonder) Craig Owens on the title who could have fitted the Bone Palace release – ”The Road To Hell is Paved with Good Intentions’. They also packed in the vocals of Jeremy McKinnon (A Day to Remember) on ‘Strength in Numbers’.

I got to admit, the sound is big, scratching the surface of epic’ness. Full throttle bass lines with power-drumming (although some double kick parts are brain damaging), keys that add an intensity and completeness to the tracks (as they did for Chiodos’ records) and brilliantly arranged guitar parts, all sound sublimely right, but heard.

InFAF have come up with an explosive debut, no doubt about it. If You like the epic metal of Destroy the Runner and the pop/emo rock slashes of Chiodos, Saosin and likewise bands in a mix, then “Your World on Fire” is the best release of the last couple of months. Scene standards are applied to make them sound familiar, yet for most fans different. A new scene-cult band is born.
